Saying Good-Bye

Happy New Year, Friends and Neighbors!

The last year had me feeling like we were on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (you know what I'm talking about) and now I welcome the opportunity to reflect, recharge and move forward with new goals and a greater sense of purpose.

As some of you are aware, sticks and stones will close its doors at the end of February. It is not a decision I made lightly as this business has been my heart and soul for the last five years. I have met the most incredible people, many of whom I am lucky to call friends. It has allowed me to learn and grow in countless ways. On a more personal note, creating this little toy shop provided my daughters with a model of  what can be done when you put your mind, heart and some good old-fashioned hard work into it. This shop succeeded in embedding itself in the fabric of a community I love and admire and I truly appreciate having had the opportunity to provide you with fun, quirky, unique, nature-inspired toys. Play is vital. Imagination is critical. Don't forget it!

To each and every one of you who supported this business over the last five years, thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you, for sharing your little ones. Thank you, for sharing your photos. Thank you, for being receptive to this idea in a time of amazon and iPhones, video games and battery operated plastic junk. Your kind words and sage advice were music to my ears.

Presently, everything in the shop is 20% off. If you have an unused gift certificate, now is the time to bring it in. Once it's gone, it's gone!

Remember, there is a big, beautiful world to explore. Get out and play! I know I will.

Gratefully,

jen
